Health & Social Care

Introducing the skills needed to work with some of society’s most vulnerable people.

Developing staff beyond induction is essential to ensure that they have the capabilities, confidence and skills to be an effective member of the workforce. All staff working in the care sector should be able to take part in learning and development so they can carry out their role effectively and deliver high quality care. The flexible qualifications available help employers to meet the different needs within the social care sector.

We work in partnership with other training organisations and employers across the sector to deliver a range of qualifications that are right for the organisation, learner and those people who need care and support.

At entry level the learner does not need to be working in a social care environment, so this can be completed before a worker takes up a role and will serve as ‘preparation’ for a career in social care.

Closely linked to some of the functions within the care sector are available in our other programmes such as Cleaning Services, Health & Safety, and Hospitality and Catering; all of which can be offered to run alongside or included in any Health & Social Care programme. Additional subjects that might be considered are:

  • Food Safety
  • Health & Safety
  • First Aid
  • Infection Control
  • Conflict Management
  • Team Leading
